Last week, the 22nd edition of the Baltic maritime fair, Baltexpo, took place at the Amber Expo exhibition grounds in Gdańsk. This year, the event was organized by the new owner of the fair brand - the International Trade Fairs in Gdańsk. The new organizer rearranged the exhibition area - dedicated zones were created for the shipbuilding and military industry, logistics, and offshore, and a new startup area powered by Infoshare. The event included a conference for the industry and a new addition - Career Day. The strategic partner of Baltexpo 2023 was the Port of Gdańsk.

This year's fair gathered around 200 exhibitors and nearly 5,000 visitors. Traditionally, on the opening day, the Golden Anchors were awarded to organizations and companies whose actions and achievements are or may be significant for the maritime economy. Among the laureates were companies such as the CRIST shipyard and Remontowa Shipbuilding.

Among the exhibitors was the Polish Register of Shipping (PRS), which has participated in Baltexpo since the event's second edition. At the PRS stand, experts from various technical areas of our activity were meeting with numerous visitors to assist them with the information and answers.

The Polish ship classifier was also active at the conference held during Baltexpo. On the second day of the exhibition, during the panel titled "Ports of the Future - From Volume to Value," the President of PRS, Henryk Śniegocki, talked about the fuels that ships will use in the future, such as LNG, hydrogen, methanol, and atomic energy. He presented the opinion that atom energy is the cleanest and most cost-effective solution among all the discussed fuel types.

On the last day of the event - so-called Career Day - numerous students and pupils visited the fairgrounds and the PRS booth. Our HR employees, experts, and surveyors from technical departments presented the Polish Register of Shipping activity scope to encourage young people to consider a career in our company.

We thank all our guests and clients for visiting our booth and promising meetings and conversations. We hope that this will lead to successful cooperation.

We also want to say a big "thank you" to all our employees who represented PRS at the exhibition.
