Middle of July Polish Register of Shipping concluded an agreement with Wings AMA for hotel investments from Cairo for the construction of a floating hotel destined to sail on the river Nile.
The scope of PRS works will include technical documentation approval, a survey of the vessel construction and assignment of PRS class. The task will be conducted by surveyors from PRS Cairo Branch Office.
It is worth recalling here that PRS has many years of experience in surveys of floating hotels sailing the Nile. It started in 2001 with supervision over the reconstruction of 5 passenger ships adapted to sail the Nile.
A new river Nile cruise hotel will be able to host 86 passengers on board. There will be 43 suites and 4 cabin decks, restaurants, a lounge bar and a sun deck with a swimming pool and bar, and a lower deck with a spa and gym.

- classification length:72 m
- breadth: 14,0 m
- moulded depth: 3,60 m
- design / maximum draught: 1,60 m.
It is Egypt’s Maasara Shipyard in Cairo that will build this floating unit. The yard has quite an experience in building floating hotels (about 70 in the portfolio). The hotel is scheduled to be ready within 2 years, i.e. in August 2024.
It is not the first order for PRS from the Wings Group. We have already cooperated with the company on modifications made on their another floating hotel – JASMIN (at present M/S AmaDahlia). We are pleased to continue our cooperation.
