"ECO" green notation for ships classified by Polish Register of Shipping"
Polish Register of Shipping like other members of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) develops a complete set of rules for ships eligible for special certification to be assigned an additional environmental “ECO” green notation.
Such a notation may be assigned by PRS to ships fulfilling all IMO and EU requirements on marine pollution prevention International Maritime Organization and European Union currently in force as well as those implemented in the future.
Polish Register of Shipping "ECO” green notation rules will cover the latest global and European environmental requirements for ships such as:
ship energy efficiency, cold ironing of ships berthed in ports and new EU requirements on environmentally sound and safe recycling of ships.
