Directive 2014/29/EU of 26 February 2014, relating to making simple pressure vessels available on the market, on 20 April 2016 replaced the directive 2009/105/EC of 16 September 2009. The directive is called shortly SPVD Directive and concerns simple pressure vessels manufactured in series.
Simple pressure vessel means a welded vessel subjected to an internal gauge pressure greater than 0.5 bar which is intended to contain air or nitrogen and which is not intended to be fired.
The following vessels are excluded from the scope of this Directive:
