Certification of machinery
Since 29 December 2009 Directive 2006/42/EC is binding for machinery. PRS is
under re-notification process.
Polski Rejestr Statków S.A. (PRS) is a body notified for conducting
procedures of conformity assessment with Directive 98/37/EC of the European
Parliament and of the Council of 22 June 1998 on the approximation of the laws
of the Member States relating to machinery.
As a notified body, PRS participates, to a specified extent, in the process
of affixing CE marking to the machinery which complies with principal
requirements of Directive 98/37/EC.
Manufacturers, designers and other persons interested in certification of
machinery or safety components shall contact our Machinery Department. The
department will provide any information and advice, as well as indicate
procedures obligatory at affixing CE marking. Detailed
