Directive application
Range of PRS notification covers any kinds of simple pressure vessels
manufactured in series, i.e. any welded vessel subjected to an internal gauge
pressure greater than 0,5 bar, being subject of Directive and all provided
procedures, according to the below list:

- EC type-examination – Article 10,
- EC verification – Article 11,
- EC declaration of conformity – Articles 12, 13, 14

Directive does not cover:
vessels specifically designed for nuclear use, failure of which may
cause an emission of radioactivity,
vessels specifically intended for installation in or the propulsion of
ships and aircraft,
fire extinguishers.
