Recreational Craft Sectoral Group
Additional information on the certification of recreational craft is
available on website www.rsg.be. It is a
home page of the Recreational Craft Sectoral Group (RSG), which is an
organization established by the European Commission, with the objective to
co-ordinate activities between the notified bodies to Directive 94/25/EC and
other institutions engaged in the process of product conformity assessment in
this field.
On its website, RSG makes available the following publications:

RSG Guidelines 2004 intended for manufacturers, notified bodies and all
parties engaged in the process of recreational craft conformity assessment,
which contains Recommendations for use (RFU) to be considered by notified bodies
at the certification process; the publication is subject to annual updating.
RSG makes also available on its website specimens of Conformity Declaration,
which is to be obligatorily enclosed, by the manufacturer, to each ready
recreational craft or its component having CE marking placed on it. The
Declaration is a written confirmation that the product conforms to all
applicable essential requirements of the Directive.
