Withdrawal of MED certificate

On 19 August 2010 the EC Quality System Certificate (Module D) No. TE/MED/041/2009

issued by Polski Rejestr Statków S.A., as a notified body for 96/98/EC directive (MED) No. 1463, including hydrostatic release units for liferafts, type “Fenner HRU” manufactured by Fenerci Denizcilik Egitim Dis Ticaret Ltd Sti, Tuzla/ Istanbul, Turkey, was withdrawn. (For other products of this manufacturer included in the withdrawn certificate a new Module D certificate has been issued).
The certificate was withdrawn due to negative results of tests of hydrostatic release units “Fenner HRU” performed by Swedish Transport Agency in May 2010 and the withdrawal of the Module B certificate for these units by Lloyd’s Register Verification Limited, notified body No. 0038.
