„Maritime economy is a chance for development of entrepreneurship in Poland – myth or reality?” – that was the title of a debate organized on 16th October 2008 in Marriott Hotel in Warsaw by Confederation of Polish Employers together with Polish Shipowners Association.
The debate, which had a form of three panels, was opened by the president of Confederation of Polish Employers Andrzej Malinowski, undersecretary of state in Ministry of Infrastructure Anna Wypych-Namiotko and undersecretary of state in Ministry of Regional Development Jaros³aw Paw³owski. First panel – titled “EU policy in the Baltic Sea Region” was led by PRS and dr Jan Jankowski was a moderator of the discussion. Second panel focused on seaports and the third concentrated on identifying the initiatives helping to improve the image of sailor’s profession.
The representatives of shipping companies, ports, maritime administrations, universities and research institutes were discussing about the problems of maritime economy.
