Having regard to Port State Control contribution towards securing the
safety of ships and persons on board, as well as to provide assistance to ships’
Operators, crews and PRS Surveyors in all issues related to Port State Control
activities, Polski Rejestr Statków established, starting from 1 November 2005, a
new post – PRS Co-ordinator for PSC Affairs.
The main tasks of the Co-ordinator are: gathering and publishing
information about detentions of PRS classed/certified ships, analysis of the
reasons of ship detentions, preparing relevant information/materials for ships’
Operators and PRS Surveyors, as well as dealing with all matters related to
detentions of PRS classed/certified ships.
