PRS Divers' Team

A unique service unit in Polski Rejestr Statkow, the only Classification Society worldwide performing, since 1978, direct supervision of objects underwater.

The supervision is carried out by PRS experienced field surveyors holding professional diving competencies. Surveyors – divers are responsible for providing immediate, first hand interpretation of underwater survey findings.

Apart from regular (periodical or occasional) in-water classification surveys of ship’s bottom, the Divers' Section provides advisory and expertise services for hydrotechnical objects (offshore constructions, port basins, channels, locks, dams, etc.), including, among others, underwater thickness measurements of steel structure elements (ship plating, structural members of drilling units and hydrotechnical objects).

The competency of PRS Divers’ Team is confirmed by certificates and authorization to carry out underwater measurements. Certificates issued by EU notified bodies prove conformity with EN 473 requirements.
