RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

The fundamental objective of the activity of Polish Register of Shipping – assistance in ensuring safety of ships – is realised by developing safety standards and supervising their implementation during ship construction and operation.

Acceptance of this responsibility means, among others, realisation of R&D projects on issues related to safe ship structure.

The existing team of PRS surveyors and scientists involved in solving R&D issues develop tools necessary for analysis and simulation of motion of ship, its structure and equipment, in an environment affecting safety of the unit.
